Lot 075 - Antique Civil War–Era Tintype Photograph Of Union Soldier, 1/6th Plate, In Full Split Leatherette Case, Poor Condition1 6th plate tintype photograph depicting a Union soldier posed in a seated studio portrait. The subject wears a dark military uniform with a standing collar and a vertical row of gilt highlighted buttons. His hands rest in his lap, and the composition is tightly framed within an ornate gilt brass mat featuring floral and scroll motifs. The tintype is in notably poor condition, with heavy oxidation, darkened areas, spotting, surface abrasions, and loss
